Open-source conflict intelligence.
WAROSINT is designed to organize publicly available information into a structured, traceable and source-aware intelligence platform.
WAROSINT aims to provide a structured environment for collecting, organizing and analysing publicly available conflict-related information.
The platform separates reported information from independently corroborated information and preserves source attribution wherever possible. The objective is traceability: users should be able to understand where a report originated and how its status changed over time.
How WAROSINT processes information
Gather information from publicly accessible sources.
Convert reports into standardized event and source records.
Identify relationships between reports, locations and events.
Record the available evidence and verification status.
Intelligence status
A report has been identified but there is not yet sufficient independent evidence to treat the information as corroborated.
Information has been attributed to an identified public source and is presented as a report rather than an independently established fact.
Multiple relevant sources or additional evidence support the existence of the reported event.
The available evidence provides a high level of confidence according to the platform's documented verification process.
Source provenance
WAROSINT is intended to work with a range of publicly accessible sources. Production integrations may include news outlets, government publications, humanitarian datasets, satellite-derived information and other open-source intelligence feeds.
Intelligence is not certainty
Open-source information can be incomplete, delayed, misleading, duplicated or incorrect. Verification status represents the assessment of available evidence at a particular point in time and may change as new information becomes available.
WAROSINT
For source corrections, methodology questions or information regarding the platform, contact details can be added here once the production infrastructure is established.
Data and privacy
The production platform should document what information is collected, how source metadata is stored, what logs are retained and how users can request information about their personal data.
Platform use
WAROSINT information is intended for research, monitoring and informational purposes. Publicly available information should be independently evaluated before being relied upon.
WAROSINT aggregates publicly available information. Information may be incomplete, delayed, disputed or inaccurate. Verification labels reflect the available evidence and may change over time. WAROSINT should not be used as the sole basis for operational, security or safety-critical decisions.
